MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2026 Deadline: 9 September 2026

The European Commission has published the new Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship Call 2026, with a deadline on 9 September at 17:00.

The Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship funds individual mobility projects for scholars and scientists of all ages, nationalities and disciplines, through a bottom‑up approach, allowing applicants to submit proposals in any scientific domain.

  1. Global Fellowship
    The opportunity allows scholars and scientists from the University of Milan to spend a period of 12–24 months at public and/or private institutions outside Europe. This period (outgoing phase) will be followed by a 12‑month return period at the University of Milan (incoming phase).
    All costs will be covered by the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship project. Candidates who do not hold a permanent position at the University of Milan at the time of application may also apply, as all costs will be funded through the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie grant for the entire duration of the project. Candidates must, however, be nationals or long‑term residents of an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe.

  2. European Fellowship
    This opportunity allows tenured professors and researchers at the University of Milan to host scholars and scientists from around the world for a period of 12–24 months.
    In this case as well, all costs will be covered by the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship project, including the salary of the researcher who will be hosted at the University of Milan.

Eligibility Criteria

By the call deadline (9 September 2026), applicants must:

  • have successfully defended their PhD;
  • have a maximum of 8 years of research experience since the PhD award date;
  • comply with the mobility rule (the researcher must not have lived or worked in the host country for more than 12 of the 36 months preceding the call deadline).

Each researcher may submit only one proposal.

For European Fellowships, candidates may be of any nationality. For Global Fellowships, candidates must either be nationals of an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country, or be long‑term residents.

Contatti

Applicants are reminded of the importance of interacting with their Department administrative staff and with the offices of the Research Services Division.
